Turtles all the way down
The four fundamental flow metrics—Cycle Time, Work In Progress, Throughput, and Work Item Age—are powerful tools for driving continuous improvement. While teams often use them to refine their processes, their value extends far beyond the team level. Organizations can leverage these same simple yet effective metrics to scale agility without the need for complex and costly frameworks.
In this talk, we’ll explore how applying these metrics at every level of an organization aligns directly with the Agile Manifesto’s values, fostering greater agility for individuals, teams, and leadership. By focusing on these key flow indicators and their daily application, we unlock a scalable, data-driven approach to continuous improvement that is both practical and impactful.
